Rules for using landfill rolloff
The landfill rolloff is offered as a convenience to Hancock residents to dispose of household items that accumulate over time or are no longer needed.
Our size and budget limit the amount we can accept so in order to continue to offer this service we ask that you follow the rules established.
Recyclables must be separated. No hazardous materials are accepted. No food waste is accepted.
A paid garbage receipt is required. Hancock residents only.
Businesses, including municipal entities, contractors, or haulers are prohibited from using the rolloff.
Dump trucks, large loads, box trucks, multiple loads, and trailers are not permitted.
No yard waste, household garbage, logs, branches, railroad ties are permitted.
If you have large loads or multiple loads the Brooke County Landfill is the proper facility to use. (304) 748-0014. We also suggest contacting your waste hauler for a rolloff rental.
We are not a waste hauler, and we rent the rolloff as a convenience for county residents with garbage service. Our attendants will suggest donation amounts per load.
