• Enforce confinement of female dogs in the period of estrus.
• Monitor and enforce quarantines.
• Enforce the county leash law.
• Patrol the county and pick up stray dogs.
• Fill out reports.
• Investigate complaints.
• Remove vicious dogs.
• Protect livestock.
